Schmal, leicht und extrem flach, das Secret Edge von Cold Steel® ist perfekt für alle, die auf der Suche nach einem unaufdringlichen, jedoch hocheffizienten Neck Knife sind. Im Gegensatz zu seinen schwereren, sperrigeren Konkurrenten ist das Secret Edge unter der Kleidung fast unsichtbar, und mit seinem Gewicht von ca. 91 g (inklusive Scheide) kann es den ganzen Tag mühelos getragen werden.
Das Secret Edge ist inspiriert vom traditionellen schottischen Strumpfmesser Sgian dubh. Materialien, Leistungsfähigkeit und Aussehen sind aber durch und durch modern. Es ist mit einer flachgeschliffenen Klinge aus japanischem Edelstahl AUS 8A ausgestattet, die über eine breite Basis für gute Schneidkraft und einen spitzen Ort für optimale Durchdringungskraft verfügt.
Um einer derart kleinen Klinge maximalen Halt zu verleihen, wurde das Secret Edge mit Griffschalen aus Griv-Ex™ ausgestattet. Die drei Aussparungen dienen der Gewichtsreduzierung, während die stark strukturierte Oberfläche für optimale Griffigkeit sorgt. Der Griff schmiegt sich in die Handfläche und wird weder wackeln noch sich drehen.
Eine passende Secure-Ex®-Scheide ist im Lieferumfang enthalten. Damit ist das Messer sicher verstaut, bleibt jedoch leicht und schnell zugänglich.
Edelstahl AUS 8A
Cold Steel® verwendet den gleichen fachmännisch gehärteten japanischen AUS 8A-Stahl seit nunmehr fast drei Jahrzehnten. Dieser Stahl ist außerordentlich gut erprobt und hat in all den Jahren bewiesen, dass er sich in exzellenter Weise zur Klingenherstellung von Arbeitsmessern eignet: Er ist zäh und korrosionsbeständig bei guter Schnitthaltigkeit und zudem leicht zu schärfen.
